Hard Drive Price alert!!

Thailand is home to some of the worlds largest disk drive manufacturers. Due to the recent floods in that country, these factories have been heavily impacted and are not producing, reducing worldwide production by nearly 60%.

Disk drive pricing in the US has at least doubled since last week (retail and distributors), while stock levels have drawn down. Unfortunately, starting this week we had to adjust our hard drive pricing to deal with the market conditions for the time being.

Experts predict shortages at least for the remainder of the year. We will stay on top of this and will adjust pricing downwards as soon as the situation normalizes.
