Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Delivery

Macs4u.com uses the best carriers in the business to make sure your order gets to you on time. We recommend Fedex for their lower prices, faster Ground shipping and Home Deliveries on Saturdays.

At this time, we only ship in the United States.

Delivery Time

We keep you informed! Shortly after you place your order, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement email to confirm your order details, including shipping and delivery estimates for each item. Once your item has prepared for shipment and ships, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with carrier and tracking information.
You can visit online anytime at your convenience, to view the most up-to-date status of your order.

Shipping and delivery estimates

The 'Ships' timeframe is an estimate of when the item will prepare for shipment and ship. The items on your order will ship as they become available.
•    Items that ship within "24 hours" are estimated to ship the same or following business day.
•    Items with longer estimates within the timeframe indicated (e.g., 7-10 business days).
•    Custom-configuring your Mac may take additional time to prepare for shipment, and will increase the 'Ships' timeframe.
•    Shipping time is based on business days and exclude holidays and weekends.


The 'Delivers' timeframe is an estimate of when the item will be delivered to your shipping address after it ships. When you select expedited shipping, your item will take the same amount of time to prepare for shipment ('Ships'), but will expedite the time it takes to deliver to your doorstep ('Delivers').
All estimates are based on business days.
Title to all goods shall pass to you, the buyer upon delivery to a common carrier. If you refuse to accept shipment for any reason, Macs4u is entitled to be compensated for all shipping charges.

Shipping Methods and Costs

Shipping methods
The Macs4u.com offers a variety of shipping methods to meet your needs:
•    Free Standard Shipping —Delivers within 6 business days after shipping.
•    2 Day Shipping — Delivers within 2 business days after shipping.
•    Next Business Day — Delivers within 1 business day after shipping.

Express shipping costs

Express shipping costs are calculated and displayed before you complete your order. We pass our rates directly on to you, not making any money. You can also see shipping costs on the Order Acknowledgment email and on online Order Status. If you order multiple items, you may receive separate shipments. You will receive a Shipment Notification email for each shipment with the carrier's name and tracking information, if available.

Packaging

Our part on helping the environment

 To send your computer packaged safely, we use a variety of materials. To reduce the impact on the environment we re-utilize packaging whenever possible.

Signature on delivery

Most of our shipments contain valuable items, so our carriers are required to obtain a signature upon delivery.  Please note that the carrier makes three delivery attempts before returning your package to macs4u.com.

Option 1: As your items ship, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with carrier and tracking information for each of your shipments. If you are not at the location to sign you can after the first delivery attempt, specify with the carrier what other options might suit you better.

Option 2: Sign the package. Anyone over the age of eighteen at the designated shipping address can sign for the package.

Option 3: Sign to release your shipment to your address, an immediate neighbor, or a building manager If you are not available on the first delivery attempt to sign for the package, the carrier leaves a Delivery Notice on your door after the first delivery attempt. Our carrier attempts delivery three times before returning your package to us.  If you will not be available for one of the delivery attempts, you may elect to sign the Delivery Notice and leave it on your door prior to the next delivery attempt.
You can designate a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, building manager).

Option 4: Pickup package at carrier’s local office After the first delivery attempt, you can request to pick up your package at our carrier’s local facility. Call the number on the carrier's Delivery Notice and inform the carrier that you want to pick up your package in person.
To pickup your shipment, you'll need the Delivery Notice and both of the following IDs:
•    A government-issued ID (e.g., driver's license, passport, residency card) that matches the name and address on the package
•    A second ID with your name on it (e.g., credit card, social security card)
The carrier can release the package only to the person designated in the shipping address.

Option 5: We reserve the right to ship to a Fedex location close to your specified delivery address, should the billing and shipping address differ.


Shipping Restrictions

Macs4u.com ships items only within the Continental United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. No shipments can be made to PO Box addresses, other United States territories, APO's, FPO's, or addresses outside of the United States.


Shipping address with different bill to information

Should any issue exist concering the payment method and ship to address requested, we will attempt to contact you via the options you have provided. You can also contact us by email, phone, or live chat. You may also chose Google checkout or Paypal option during the checkout process to speed up the processing of your order, as they do this verification process real-time.


Issues With Your Shipment

Incorrect or damaged items. If you received the wrong product or it was damaged during shipping, please contact us at 1.800-496-7920 or via email support@macs4u.com within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Please keep all packing materials, as the packaging will need to get inspected by the carrier.

Returns

Prior to returning any item, you must contact our returns department by completing the RMA form for a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Upon approval, Macs4u.com in turn shall provide you with written instruction on how to return the product. RMA numbers are valid for 10 business days.  Used product may be returned for full store credit less original shipping, insurance and diagnostics within 30 days after product shipped. New Product may be returned for full store credit or refund less 15% restocking fee, original shipping, insurance and diagnostics within 30 days after product shipped. Products must be returned in original condition at buyers expense including packaging, documentation. Damaged goods, expired RMA numbers, no RMA numbers, and out of warranty returns, void all warranty/store credit and product will not be returned, replaced or refunded. 
Note that items only with all unbroken seals stickers are returnable. Prior to shipment we attach seal stickers within the inside compartment of each unit insuring that no tempering has taken place. 

Product Warranty

All computers offered via Macs4u.com are fully tested, 100% working and carry a 60-day replacement hardware warranty. Some computers may carry a remaining Apple Limited or AppleCare Extended warranty that is covered by Apple as the primary service provider.

Our warranty period begins from the date the order is delivered. In the rare event that a hardware problem would occur during the first 60 days, please contact our Customer Care team via email (support@macs4u.com) or call us at 1-800-496-7920. We will provide you with an RMA number (Repair Merchandise Authorization) that will need to be referenced on the package. To provide you with a faster turnaround, we recommend that you provide us with tracking information.

Please note that the warranty covers hardware only and does not include the loss of any data, loss of productivity or anticipated business. We do not cover any damage that may have occurred due to a liquid spill, or from installation or servicing from any other entity than macs4u.com.

Macs4u.com is only liable for hardware problems. Before return of a unit we recommend backing up of data and removing of any confidential information, as we are only liable for hardware. The unit will need to be re-packaged properly to insure safe transport. We will not be responsible for any shipping damage that occurs to your unit while in transit back to us. Once the unit is repaired, another 30 days warranty will commence.

Tip!

Most homeowner or household insurance policies offer the option to add computers as a scheduled personal property (SPP). This provides great coverage (covering loss, damage or theft) for your computer for as little as $1 to $2 per $100 per year with no or low deductible! Check with your insurance agent for specifics.

Manufacturer's Warranty / Service and Support:

Returns outside the Seller's return policy must be handled directly with the manufacturer. Manufacturer's warranties vary on each product. Extended warranties may be available directly from select manufacturers. All requests for technical service and support should be made directly to the manufacturer in accordance with their terms and conditions.

Miscellaneous:

Macs4u.com shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control. These causes shall include, without limitation, acts of God, acts or omissions of Buyer or any third party, delays in transportation or inability to obtain necessary labor, materials or supplies.
