Our partnership with Extend has allowed us to offer Accident Protection for the first time in Macs4u history!

Here's how it works:

What's covered?

In short... pretty much everything. Your product is protected in case of accidental damage such as drops and liquid spills for the term of your Extend Protection Plan. In addition, if your Extend plan's duration is longer than the Macs4u warranty it also covers mechanical and electrical failures caused by normal wear and tear, as well as damage caused directly by a power surge after the Macs4u warranty expires. This plan does not cover theft or damage caused by abuse or misuse, so be nice to your stuff. :-) You can find more details in the Protection Plan Terms below.

When is it covered?

Accident protection plans work a little differently than standard warranties. Your accident protection through Extend begins as soon as you purchase the product and lasts for the entire term of your selected plan. For example, if you choose 1-Year of Accident Protection, the coverage runs alongside the hardware warranty offered for FREE by Macs4u. That means you are fully covered for mechanical issues through Macs4u and covered for any accidental damage through Extend. However, if you select 2-Years of Accident Protection, the second year of hardware coverage is provided by Extend after the 1-Year Macs4u warranty expires.

An example might make it a little clearer. Let's say that on January 1, 2021, you purchased a product with a two-year accident protection plan from Extend. Extend would cover accidental damage from January 1, 2021 (the date of purchase) through January 1, 2023 (two full years).

For hardware warranty, Macs4u would cover your product for mechanical failures from that same purchase date to January 1, 2022 (the first year). Then your Extend Protection Plan would step in and offer the mechanical and electrical protection for the second year until it expires on January 1, 2023. How do I file a claim?

Accident/Damage Claims are processed via Extend for the policy duration. Contact them via their claims portal for immediate service: https://customers.extend.com/claims. Or call Extend at (877) 248-7707

Mechanical Issues are covered via Macs4u for the first year of ownership. Call (800) 496-7920 or email support@macs4u.com if you are experiencing a hardware issue with your product not caused by accidental damage or a liquid spill. If you have opted for a 2-year term with accident protection from Extend, please contact Extend in the second year of your policy to initiate a repair due to mechanic issues.
